The Cape Conroe Ladies Society

The Cape Conroe Ladies Society is a non profit organization with 43 members. Our organization held its first meeting in the late 1970′s. Its purpose is to promote social activities and community involvement among its members. We gladly welcome new members to join us. The monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the clubhouse, and birthday luncheons are the third Tuesday of each month at announced locations. We have different fundraiser projects throughout the year to provide donations to selected groups. Last year we donated $1800 total to the Montgomery County Women’s Shelter, the Salvation Army, and the Back Pack program that provides lunches to Montgomery school children during the summer. Members wrapped and filled approximately 2500 packages with candy for Christmas presents for children in Mexico, also. Currently we are decorating flip flops and making address file/recipe card stands to be sold, as well as, approaching businesses for donations for a raffle. The raffle tickets will be sold for several months with the drawing in October. The funds will go to the Montgomery County Women’s Shelter. As the year progresses we hope to have funds available to donate to two other groups. The CCLS needs the entire Cape Conroe community to support our fundraiser efforts by purchasing our items and raffle tickets. Contact one of our members or current officers for more information.
